Meet the Instructor
Michael Warnock
Mike has been a cornerstone of the Automotive Industry since 1975, bringing decades of expertise and a passion for teaching to his role as a Certified Instructor. His journey began with earning his first Smog License in 1977, followed by achieving the prestigious ASE Certified Master Technician designation.
Mike holds multiple licenses from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), including Smog Check Inspector, Smog Check Repair Technician, Safety Inspector, and Certified Instructor. With 23 years of service at the BAR, culminating in his work with the Technical Training Unit, Mike retired with a wealth of knowledge he now shares with his students.
Currently, Mike serves as a Certified Instructor at High Desert Automotive Smog Institute and as an Automotive Instructor at Victor Valley Community College, where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of automotive professionals.
